I've borrowed some iPads. What's next?
These iPads are meant to be borrowed so please, don't hesitate to use them! If you wish additional support, you can contact Mme Annie, who now works part time as a Learning Technologies Mentor. She is available to meet with you before and after school and can support you in the classroom on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Taking Care of the iPads
We ask that you return the iPads in the same condition as when you got them. The following guidelines are important to respect as these are shared devices.
1. If students are taking pictures of each other, make sure they ask permission first. We strongly encourage you to teach a few lessons on digital citizenship before starting to use the iPads. Make sure to look at the "Digital Citizenship" section of this website.
2. Never delete another student's project.
3. Always clean up your mess when you're done! Unless your students are still working on a project, videos, pictures, screen shots and selfies will need to be removed from the iPads. Picture this as a virtual art room. Who likes entering an art room when there are dirty paint trays and paint brushes everywhere?
4. Never leave an iPad unsupervised or on the floor. It can disappear in no time. We've seen this before.
5. Please ensure that the students aren't eating or drinking when using an iPad.
